Us / FUNASADA by KYOTO no KABAYAKI

Our UNAGI no KABAYAKI is a traditional Japanese dish prepared by FUNASADA, a century-old UNAGI fish shop famous in Kyoto, with a limited production, where 100 KABAYAKI are sold in 2 hours a day.

FUNASADA perpetuates the traditional method of KABAYAKI.
Our eels are cut alive (method IKEJIME) then stitched with skewers of iron, and grilled directly with the fire of Japanese charcoal Binchōtan, and lacquered with a secret homemade sauce.

Enjoy our UNAGI no KABAYAKI with scented Sichuan pepper from Shichimiya-Hompo Kyoto, one of the oldest spice shops in Kyoto (since 1655).
